Mr. Mayer was one of the most influential teachers in my life. Thank you for also being a friend, taking me under your wing and encouraging me to face life's challenges with a smile and a lot of satire. I think about you often and you will be missed.

I was lucky to have known Mr. Mayer and the family growing up. I have good memories bowling and playing basketball in his driveway with Tom and Jeff. Mr. Mayer was even my Sunday School teacher.
I wanted to share a memory of Mr. Mayer helping out during part of my Eagle Scout Project - painting Mrs. Brown's massive Sunday School classroom. I also happen to have one to share of Mrs. Mayer who is on my left and my Mom on my right. The cabinet we built for their Sunday School classroom was also part of my project.
May he rest in peace.

I went to Hutch- Tech H.S. with Tom, class of 63. I remember him as very intelligent , athletic , and easy to get along with type guy. Always a gentleman and just a nice classmate to talk to and discuss just about any subject with.
May the many good memories give peace and comfort to the Mayer family. Rest in peace Tom.

Thomas Dyl,
I remember Tom as a Hutch-Tech alumni and his rowing for the Tech Crew team. I respected him for his service as a combat infantry Vietnam veteran and as a dedicated treasurer and Sunday School director / teacher at his church. He was a popular English teacher at the West Seneca Junior High School and was an accomplished speaker before an audience.
When the carnival train arrived in Hamburg he would greet it with his family and they would enjoy many days at the Erie County Fair.
Kathy and I enjoyed the many evenings playing pinochle with Tom and Sandy. He made the very best Irish Coffee. He loved his wife Sandy, their three sons, Tom, Jeff and Brian, and their grandchildren. He liked his dogs especially Max.
I will remember Tom as a friend. May he rest in peace.
