Paul, dear brother-in-law, he who could navigate Buffalo winter snowstorms on bald tires in an ancient Ford LTD…. also got me and my Bride, his sister Ruth, to the airport just in time to make our flight out on that Saturday night, August 12, 1978. The Bills had played the Denver Broncos in a pre-season game that went into double-overtime. Our wedding reception was at Shore’s Orchard Downs, Orchard Park. Paul invented a route, through parking lots and driveways, to get us through the traffic as the game ended.
More recently, Paul and PJ visited me in New Hampshire for a NASCAR race and a visit to Boston. He sat with the legendary, bronzed Celtics coach Red Auerbach at historic Quincy Market.
Be well, whole and pain free, dear friend. I have been blessed to have you as a part of my family.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Jim Stratton
