Barbara was one of the nicest, most interesting people my wife Connie and I had ever met. She was still so sharp and independent at the age of 96. We got to know her during the summer and fall of 2022 when we rented a cottage across the street from her house. We enjoyed having her over for dinner and having late morning "coffee breaks" , finding out about each other and our families and solving the world's problems. We feel lucky to have been able to spend some time with her. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family.

Both Barbara and George were great friends of my mother’s, Connie Nelson. We were so fortunate to have known them when visiting Vero Beach and then moving to Buffalo. Barbara was a great cook and we enjoyed her parties with family and friends.

I had the distinct privilege of knowing Mrs. Hyde although for a very short time. I enjoyed visiting with her through Hospice and will forever remember her “Feisty, yet thoughtful” character. She always brought a smile to my face and cheer to my heart.
I will always remember her gift to my granddaughter of Peppa Pig, which she loved.
She will always hold a special place in our hearts. Rest in peace my friend!
