Menefee, Allen r. Of Angola, NY, entered life eternal on October 6, 2022, he was 79. Beloved husband and best friend of Lyn Menefee, for 50 years. loving father of Robert Lawrence, Dale Lawrence, Guylene (Michael) Nalezynski, Greg and Jonathan Menefee. Devoted grandfather of Brittany (Kyle) Geerhart, Blaine (Daniela) Ludlow Jr. and Ian Lawrence. Allen was proudest of being called Grampy by his local Great grandchildren, Brynn and Kaylin Geerhart and Adrian Ludlow. Brother of Janelle (Steve) Jones, Eric (Laura) Menefee, Dennis (Supida) Menefee, Julie (Sandy) Clifford, Edie (Steve) Ritterpusch, predeceased by younger brothers Keith and Kevin Menefee. Also survived by several grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, October 13,2022 from 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM at the ADDISON FUNERAL HOME, INC. 262 N. Main St. Angola, NY. Funeral services will be held Saturday October 15, 2022, at 11AM in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Farnham, NY. PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Allen was a proud member of the United States Air Force having served with honor in Viet Nam, Thailand and Japan as well as several stateside bases. As a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, in Farnham, NY, Allen served as a Deacon and council President. As a Chaplain’s Assistant he served throughout Erie County bringing comfort and healing through prayers and humor to those in various hospitals and nursing homes. He was the owner of Angola Computer & Programs and was a consultant throughout the US. He also served as Code Enforcement Officer, with integrity, for the village of Angola. Allen’s lifelong passion was as a member of various Little Theaters worldwide. His performances ranged from musical comedy (The Fantasticks) to Greek Tragedy (Antigone). His final performance was as the star of The Toys Take Over Christmas as the Toy Maker for the Lakeshore Community Players of which he was a founding member. His best Quality was his ability to make people laugh and enjoy themselves. In his later years Allen became an avid gardener and “Gentleman Farmer” and a forever DIYer, with ongoing projects to the family home that he loved.
