Sandy was my mentor at Fairhavens. She was a very good sister in the Lord. Always encouraging. Always loving. Full of Faith. She was and always will be my fiery redhead. I know that she is with Jesus. Dancing and celebrating with her parents. From Glory to Glory. Her new perfect body healed forever.

It was my honor to be Sandy’s pastor and friend for several years before we left Florida. I have met few people that loved God and people like Sandy. In spite of her physical difficulties, I never saw her without a smile. She was truly a very special woman of God and she will be greatly missed until we see her again.

I will always remember Sandy’s infamous smile, so bright and cheery. She was an excellent percussionist and I always felt honored to be with her on the platform. Heaven has gained another angel. Until we meet again my dear sweet friend.

Sandra was a unique soul. She was totally sold out to Jesus and didn’t apologize for it. She received grace, breathed grace and gave grace. It was obvious by those she reached out to: the hurting and enslaved regardless of what enslaved them. She had a powerful testimony on how God turned her life around and looked for and accepted every opportunity to share it. Toward the end of her life, I got to know the depth of her heart, pain and suffering in physical, emotional and mental ways. But when most people fail apart spiritually at such times, Sandra’s faith was still passionate about her Savior and Redeemer. I admired her, appreciated her vulnerability and loved her. I know she is free of it all and sees the Glory on Jesus face. The very thing she lived for. And with her last breath, she was praising her Lord. I want to die that way and hope I can always be reminded of her.

My favorite and best memory of Sandra was when she and her mom (Leta) came to stay with my husband and I during 3 hurricanes- Charlie & Jean are the only 2 names I can remember. How Sandra and her mom loved music. There was a Beatles concert on TV the first time they came. And Sandra and I danced up a storm in our living room! We had such fun during those times. What I will remember most is her beautiful love for our Savior. And then she met Earle, and how she loved him! That was after my husband went to heaven. So my son escorted me to their wedding. I often called her the Facebook preacher. I loved reading her posts. I truly enjoyed the times I spent with her. Earle and Jackie, you are both especially on my heart. I will certainly be praying for you. I am happy for her, though, because she is face to face with her Savior and Lord...and I will bet that she is dancing and singing like never before! She'll also see her mom and dad, and my Mick. I am actually jealous! Continued love and prayers to you, Jackie and Earle. Tina Hans
