To the family and friends Joyce leaves with her cherished memory, our deepest condolences, from the entire group at the Graycliff Conservancy. Joyce has been a treasured volunteer with Graycliff since 2008; we are grateful to have enjoyed her company for so long and she will be sorely missed. We appreciate not only the donation of her time and commitment to the Conservancy but also that she shared with us the joy of her life.

Bill and Sue and families - My deepest sympathy. Joyce was such a fun loving and very unique person. Such a great personality and never a dull moment around her! I loved all her different earrings and especially her purple hair! Makes me smile just thinking of her. She would come in the Pennysaver to get copies of jokes to pass out to people and to keep ourselves for a laugh. So glad to have known her. She will be greatly missed! My prayers are with all of you. To the Herold Family:
Your mom was a beloved volunteer at Graycliff for so many years. I recall fondly all the training sessions we had for tour docents and the questions your mom would ask. We could always count on her for a question to more fully explain something that might have been understood by her but not others. Please accept my deepest condolences, she will be missed !

To the family of Joyce Herold: We are very sad to hear she passed away! What a woman, I first meet her many years ago when Shirley Pfalzgraf and her were showing us how to knit. I thought she was the coolest with her purple hair! I said then when I grow up I want to be like her! As the years went by and I started working and running the Community Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners she came to help. She was such a help! She also earn her title of Judge Judy & our pie lady! The fellowship with her during the years showed me what a wonderful, caring and loving person she is. She would call me days before the dinners to give me encouragement because she knew, I stressed a lot over them. She even called after the dinners were over and told me how well and what could be better. I appreciated every bit of advice she gave. She will be miss also by my husband Dan, oh did they pick on one another, what a fun battle they had back and forth. We loved her! We will miss her! May the Lord Be with you at this time. But, please remember, that wonderful special lady will NEVER be forgotten! Hears to JUDGE JUDY!! Love you Lorraine & Dan Glashauser

The Herold Family:
Your Mom was so spunky and fierce natured, but also with a huge loving heart. She will not be forgotten as she has done so much for the community and beyond those borders. She volunteered at so many places and gave of her time and self. As mentioned by a few, she had a natural connection and sense of care for all animals. I am truly going to miss our conversations, pulling weeds together, fair visits and eating a snack. Loved her like a Mother.

Bill and Susan-When I was 5 years old I watched your house being built from our picture window. As a kid growing up It would not have been possible to have had better neighbors. No matter how long between conversations with your mother it seemed like the last was the day before. One thing is for sure- for all who knew her(and that is many), the world is a less interesting place now. Billy and Sue,
Your Mom has been a part of my life since the day we moved in next door when I was a toddler. She was such a big part of the neighborhood, such a big part of our lives. None of us will ever forget her. She had such a unique personality, and a wonderful way with animals..Even took in the stray kitten I brought to her years ago on Halloween, didn't hesitate at all about keeping it. I will miss her waving from the kitchen window when I walk to my parents back door. You and your families are in our thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Julie (Kinn) and Chuck Lohr
