Anthony Masters would like to share what he prepared and said today in memory of his grandfather
Today we gather together to mourn the loss of a loved one, a husband, a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, a family man, and a friend. We also gather together today to celebrate a long life lived. A life that started in a small village in Poland in a simple house in a time of horse and buggy. A life that survived a war and made it to this country with a wife and two small children. A man that worked hard and provided for his family and made a life for himself here and the man that became my grandfather. The small boy inside of me misses his grandfather dearly and the middle-aged man I have become celebrates a long life lived. Every friend of my grandfathers or someone that knew him always spoke of him in the finest regards. The circle of friends and family that I came to know over the years and is almost gone now for a long life lived. Over the years, through everything, his ability to keep going, keep working and overcome things, have a playful sense of humor, and not become hardened from a long life lived are some of the things I will remember him for. He will always be with us, never forgotten, always remembered in our thoughts and carried with us, and may our lives be as long lived as his.

An amazingly kind man who made an amazingly wonderful great-grandfather. I'm so happy that my children will carry on memories of him. His kindness, his love, and a piece of his soul will continue on with those that loved him dearly. Sending my love and condolences.
