It was an honor to know Terry as an active grandfather of Ethan and Matthew. I truly enjoyed his humor and compassion. My deepest sympathy to all of his family and friends as he will be dearly missed.

I have been reflecting and my memories are spread more then 4 decades...Mr. Cooke, I'm trying to find peace to know you're with my dad and praying for all the lives you have touched including mine. Your laughter, hugs and the love you had for all of us was unconditional. We are forever thankful to have had you and your family on this road we call life. You have come to your final call now. We love you and will be missed..until the other journey is near for us , have your conversations with dad. We Will look up. Prayers and peace.
The Catalano Family,
Lorna, Todd and Joy Elizabeth.

Terry was, I think, the 1st person I worked for...in a sense. As an unemployable under 16 year old, he graciously took in myself and another friend of mine to go around to various fire halls delivering air bottles, checking extinguishers, and just exploring what would become my lifelong time in the fire service. Every time he would pick us up, we would have to check the oil in an old GMC pickup truck and add the daily quart to get us out in the field...and then add another quart to come back. On a good day, if you ignored the oil burning out the back, we'd hit 55 on the thruway. In return for us keeping him company, he'd grab a snack for us...or the 7-11 Big Gulp - which he nicknamed "The Big Sip!" and that sticks with me to this day (and that was my 1st "salary" - 72oz sugary drinks).
It was Terry and another friend of the family that gave me my childhood nickname (not saying here unless you know me...). Finally, when my father passed, I thought I had held it together fairly well until Terry and Beth came up in line. I saw the true emotion in him for my father's passing, and I hold the same for him today. God Bless you Terry, and keep chasing my dad around the Fireman's Home in the sky in your wheelchairs!

To Beth and the dooners (as Terry used to say)
Marci and I are deeply saddened at the news of Terry's passing. It’s not every day that you lose a great friend and your best man. We had many great times together. We are in Florida but will be with you in spirit.
