Grandma T was a fiery, feisty woman. She was misunderstood by many people. Nonetheless, I loved her for who she was and respected that some put on armor when they’ve suffered a great deal of pain in their lives.
T suffered emotional and physical pain from chronic illness. But she loved her family fiercely and found joy in little things (like her backyard birds and Chippy, the chipmunk, as well as his associates).
I’m going to miss the morning wake up calls to wake up my wife Heidi for work and hearing the blow by blow of her favorite TV programs.
I’m going to miss our conversations about the political polarization in the country and how so-called Christians need to practice what they preach.
I’m going to miss how she used ‘oh Christ’ as a conversation filler.
I’m going to miss. . . her.
