Dr. Cetin took care of our entire family. Pat and Paul Burke and all 7 of us kids were under his care. God had a special angel working in Angola and Erie county all those years. He depicted the true dedication and principles of what a doctor should be. Thank you for sharing him with all of our community. May the love of family and friends give you comfort... may the love of God give you peace. Faith (Burke) Terry

I always looked up to my Uncle John. He was smart, happy, handsome, and witty and drove a big Cadillac which really impressed me as a young kid. He would come down from Angola in the summer with his family to visit with my mom (his sister Jennie) and his mom and dad (my grandparents) and our family at the house he grew up in Hermitage, PA. My Uncle John would talk about his life growing up and the lives of his hard-working immigrant parents who could hardly speak English. I live in that house now and when I was remodeling the upstairs I found a hidden stack of black and white photos of my Uncle John during the time he was in the military and going to medical school. I gave the photos to him and he told me stories about each one of them and it really sent him back in time to his younger days. He looked like he was having fun because he had a big smile on his face in most of the photos.
Once a year, my mom and dad would pile all of us in the family car and we would drive to Angola to visit my Uncle John. He owned a beautiful estate with an outside pool and I thought life could not be any better than his. RIP

So very sorry to hear this. Loved working with him at Lake Shore Hospital doing medical staff work - he had a very wry sense of humor not everyone could pull off. God Bless.

The best Doctor ever! I loved getting the last appointment of the day. He would take his time and then sit and talk to me afterward. I was so sad when he retired. He also saved my husbands life. He came in sick and got a shot of penicillin, only to find out my husband after many years was all of a sudden allergic to it, but quick thinking by a remarkable doctor, he saved his life. Imagine sitting in the waiting room. My husband walked in and was taken out in an ambulance. R.I.P. Dr. John Cetin. So sorry for your loss.

Our deepest sympathy to the Cetin family on the loss of Doc Cetin. He was our family doctor for years and when I had my sons, he was their doctor too. Always available, kind, and caring. He joked with the boys and made them feel comfortable when they came in for an ailment or checkup. We were so fortunate to have a hometown doctor who cared for us. Thanks Doc.

I’m sooo sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of Dr. Cetin. When my parents (Oscar & Alberta “Birdie” Patterson) adopted me, my mom was a nurse within Dr. Cetin’s practice. He was a wonderful man & doctor.
God bless his family during this difficult time.
Blessings,
FannieLynn Patterson

Dr. Cetin was our family doctor for many years. He treated my mom through gall bladder and breast cancer surgeries. My dad was treated by the doctor for a bleeding ulcer. I saw him on many occasions for sinus conditions, the flu, etc. He did my husband and my blood tests before we were married. A wonderful man, a great doctor. You'll be sorely missed.
