Obituary of Kent Newcomb
Mike (Kent Michael) Newcomb, 81 years of age, of Silver Creek, NY, passed away peacefully December 16th, 2017 with his family by his side.
Born August 3rd, 1936 in Angola, New York to the late William & Iris Newcomb. He is survived by his loving & deeply devoted wife Elaine for over 50 years, brothers William, Paul and John, and the proud father of Kent (Chris) of Grand Rapids, MI, Ronnie of Florence, SC, Debra Coller (Brian) of Statesville, NC, Robert (Raelyn) of Carlsbad, CA and Michelle Sutter (Rick) of Hoschton, GA. He was a proud Grandpa/Papa to his 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son David & his brother Ray.
Mike retired when he sold Southtowns Auto Auction and was a very active community member throughout his life in various clubs and community organizations. In his spare time, he enjoyed poker, bingo, fishing with his sons, playing Scrabble & working in the car industry. Mike is an Army Veteran having served in France.
Friends may call on Monday, December 18th , 2017 from 1-3PM and 6-7PM at the Addison Funeral Home, 262 N Main Street, Angola, NY , where prayers will be held at 7PM , followed by a military service.
Flowers respectfully declined. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Silver Creek Emergency Squad or the Parkinson’s Foundation of Western New York.
