Obituary of Mary Claire Daley

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary Claire “Mimi” Daley (née Feldmann) passed away peacefully on February 27th, 2026, after a brief illness at the age of 64. Mimi was a devoted mother, daughter, aunt, and friend whose presence brought warmth, joy, and laughter to anyone fortunate enough to know her. A true force of nature, she leaves behind a legacy of compassion, selflessness, and love for life. Mimi was the second of eight children born to the late Joanna (née Rose) and Bernard Feldmann. Raised in Angola, NY, on the water, she always had a fondness for the beach and spent much time there with her children, siblings, cousins and nieces and nephews. Mimi valued family above all. She was the beloved sister of Bernard (Eileen) Feldmann, Jr., Dennis (Jill) Feldmann, Patricia Feldmann, Jennifer (Mark) Blasak, Elizabeth (Bill) Sterns, Eugene Feldmann, and the late Andrew Feldmann. Above all, Mimi cherished being a parent to Kellan and Emma Daley with her ex-husband and lifelong companion, Jim Daley, raising their beautiful family together in Buffalo, NY. She was an extraordinary mother, embodying unconditional love, encouragement, and a signature silliness that made every moment brighter. Whether cheering on Emma and Kellan at their many sports games, encouraging lifelong creativity through crafting and projects, or being a sounding board for advice, there was nothing Mimi loved more than being there for her children. Her boundless love extended to her many nieces and nephews, whom she embraced as bonus children and was their biggest cheerleader. Mimi’s dedication to life extended to her 39-year-long career as a speech-language pathologist with Erie 2 BOCES. She was deeply passionate about working with children and helping them develop language skills. Her light and joy made for a deeply supportive learning environment. After retiring in 2023, she leaned into some of her favorite hobbies of thrifting, reading, DIYing, and caring for her grandniece. Mimi’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all those lucky enough to know her, yet her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us to carry forward the joy and compassion she embodied. As we say goodbye, we celebrate the life of a woman who radiated joy, uplifted those around her, and was a beacon of unwavering support. Friends may call on Saturday, March 7th from 2PM-6PM at the Addison Funeral Home, Inc, 262 N. Main St. Angola, NY.
