Lucille R. White
Of Angola, NY, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, in the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center, surrounded by love, she was 87. She was born on April 15, 1938, and lived a life rooted in family, community, and simple joys.
Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dan White, with whom she shared a lifetime of devotion and cherished memories. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Norman Rechlin, and her siblings: Norman Rechlin (Pat), Marilyn Soehnlein (Ron), and Charles Rechlin (Cleo).
She is lovingly survived by her children: Dan White (Tracy), Tom White (Lori Parker), David White, and Dawn White. Lucille was a proud and devoted grandmother to Joshua White, Austin White, Jarrett White, and Faith Vela, and she was blessed with several great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her sister, Grace Seitz, her brother, Neil Rechlin, and many extended family members and dear friends.
Lucille grew up in Roat Acres and carried a lifelong love for the shores of Lake Erie, where some of her happiest memories were made. A devoted mother and grandmother, she poured her heart into caring for her family while also dedicating many years of service to Lake Shore Schools.
She found joy in traveling, camping, bowling, playing cards, and quilting—often creating beautiful, handmade pieces filled with love for those she cherished. Never one to miss a little fun, Lucille also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino and the laughter that came with it.
Known for her kind spirit, steady presence, and generous heart, Lucille will be remembered for the warmth she brought into every room and the love she so freely gave. Her legacy lives on through the family she adored and the many lives she touched.
