Pastor Shirley was one of my first mentors in ministry. Her prayer covering, equipping, teaching and boldness gave me a strong foundation in faith to walk out my mission. I honor her friendship and memory today!

I always loved pastor Shirley and her teaching. When she had her Bible study. I would come every week. And she started out in the back in a classroom and ended up in the sanctuary. Wonderful time with her. She will truly be missed. Love you always, pastor Shirley Nancy

Sister, mom, friend, pastor and prophetess. These are what you were to me. Words cannot express the emptiness I feel of not sharing your company again. I will always be grateful to you for speaking Jeremiah 29:11 into my life years ago and it changed me completely, from feeling hopeless to hopeful. I so look forward to seeing you again and I’ll always love you.

Few people know how deeply Pastor Shirley touched my soul. Southtowns Christian center gave my boys and I a place to heal and grow after a traumatic situation and continued to carry us through many others. Pastor Shirley prayed for a certain medical situation of mine and I was healed. Pastor Shirley had an altar call for salvation and Dominic raised his hand. When my mother took her own life pastor Shirley offered herself up to be my mother if I needed her. And now my son Joseph works for the church which is an answer from God. My boys and I will forever be touched but pastor Shirley Bishop Tom and Southtowns Christian center. They believed in me when others didn't.
