Obituary of Douglas F. Mathewson

Mathewson, Douglas F. Of Angola, NY. On April 21st, 2025, Doug found his peace with Brandon and Pam at his side. He is predeceased by his wife and best friend Sue (Peterson), as well as his parents Christy and Grace (Ryerse) Mathewson. Doug is survived by his brother Chris (Kathy), along with Sue’s family, his nieces and nephews and many friends he considered family. Doug was passionate about his work in the printing business for many years. When he wasn't at work, his life was full of adventures: snowmobiling, boating, camping and riding motorcycles; always with Sue and Brandon at his side. The three of them had a unique bond that held them close together but welcomed anyone and everyone along for the ride. Doug had a wild sense of humor and an amazing way of endearing himself to everyone around him. His thirst for life was perfectly matched with Sue’s sensibility and easy-going spirit. They were and still are two halves of one whole. While he will be greatly missed, there is comfort in knowing that they are no longer apart. The family will be present to receive friends Wednesday April 30,2025 from 12PM – 7PM at the ADDISON FUNERAL HOME, INC. 256 N. Main St. Angola, NY where a brief remembrance will be held at 7PM.
