So sorry about the passing of Dorothy. I visited her just a week before her passing. She was so up and happy as she always was. Such a joy and blessing to know. She is at peace in the Lord’s hands now but will be missed by many. Glad to have had her as a friend!

Aunt Dorothy was always ready to sign up for adventures with her sisters and niece. Whether it was for local luncheons and cards or vacations to The Bahamas, Las Vegas or Florida, she made the time together special for everyone. She never arrived without her cheerful ways, many smiles and lots of laughter. It was easy to see how much she enjoyed being around family.
Thank you, Aunt Dorothy for giving me so many special times to remember you by.
Barbara (niece)
Ps I made your Chinese Chicken Salad last weekend. It was great!

When I started working at Lakeshore middle school back in 1999 Dorothy was like a mentor to me. She was a blessing and a wonderful co worker.

Grandma Haberer was always so kind and welcoming. She loved her grand and great grandchildren, never forgetting a holiday or birthday. My children are saddened by their loss, but are remembering all of the good times. She will be missed.

What a BEAUTIFUL picture you have chosen, it matches her BEAUTIFUL soul. Living so far south from all of you always; my memories are limited but the times I did share being around Aunt Dorothy and the Smith gatherings left lasting wonderful memories both as a child and adult. My mother (Fran) was especially close to Aunt Dorothy and she cherished their frequent conversations as they grew older together over the years sharing their thoughts, prayers, memories and recipes which thankfully have been passed down because I also love to bake and cook like the ladies of the Smith family. Today, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you weather this storm in life, but do know that the sun will shine again on your faces as nothing lifts the soul better as precious memories of our loved ones. My love to you all ... Sandy
